Thuy is an Interior Designer with an aptitude to create things that are functional, eclectic, and refined. She enjoys creating spaces with a fun mix of textures, colors, and finishes. The saying “less is more” can be a suggestive notion and Thuy enjoys pushing the envelope in either direction. She believes that a space shouldn’t be confined to what is portrayed in media, but rather refined to fit ones personality and needs.

Studying Interior Design in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Thuy was able to immerse herself in design through the vast availability of restaurants, cafes, hotels and architecture. In addition, the diversity of cultures, experiences, and environment -which is the heartbeat of New York City- was inspiring and motivating for an emerging designer. Upon completion of her program at FIT, Thuy began working with various real estate developers in the Tri-State area. Her exposure to construction expanded her knowledge and love for architecture. Seeing a set of 2D plans evolve into built reality was -and still is- astonishing and fulfilling.

Since returning to the Bay Area, Thuy has collaborated with design + build firms, various independent designers, architects, and structural engineers. She continues to work on various projects such as commercial tenant improvements, kitchen and bath remodels, residential additions, restaurant/cafe remodels and progressively more. It is through these project experiences and working with progressive colleagues that her career continues to become refined each day.

Thuy currently resides in the East Bay Area and enjoys crafting new projects, spending time with her son, and traveling to new cities.
